The Atacama Desert (In Spanish: Desierto de Atacama) is a plateau in South America, covering a 600-mile (1,000 km) strip of land on the Pacific coast, west of the Andes mountains. It is, according to NASA, National Geographic and many other publications, the driest desert in the world.
It’s also one of the most beautiful places on earth and we like to invite you to explore with us the country’s largest salt flat, spotted pink with flamingos and surrounded by volcanoes. Here too are fields of steaming geysers, a host of lunar like rock formations, dunes, weird layer-cake landscapes, and salt lakes among other beautiful sights.
Best of all, you can visit all these destinations from our convenient location in San Pedro.
